About Us

Bikers Advice (formerly Bikers' Advice Bureau) is a consumer organisation for all motorcyclists. Operating on-line (with full off-line support), we aim to provide quality indepth information on products & services. You, as the consumer, can then make informed choices when purchasing.

We are INDPENDENT of any insurer, group of lawyers, manufacturer or dealership. We know it's a cliche but we are just BIKERS FOR BIKERS

Our Team:

LEGAL & BUSINESS - Phil Shuker. Well known biking solicitor. MAG & BMF panel member. Lecturer and member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers). Founder member of European Group of Biking Lawyers.

Bike: - Honda Steed with all the cheesy accoutrements.

WEB ADMINISTRATION - Sandra Chadwick. One of Bikers Advices’ longest serving people. Before motherhood forced her onto 4 wheels, Sandra rode as scooter pillion.

WEBMASTER – Andy Nicol. A civil engineering graduate from UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology), he runs his own web business, Sputnik Internet Limited with his business partner Cat Jampièrre.

Having spent 10 years in sales and marketing, Andy's first step into web development was as Marketing Director of a Manchester-based ISP. In 2001, Andy went on to set up Sputnik. His key roles within the company are Marketing Consultancy, Technical Advisor and Account Management.

Bike: - Andy rides a Honda CBR

Catherine has been immersed in art and design for as long as she can remember, but started applying her skills professionally in 1996 as a web designer. She operated Aurora Design, a design business in Santa Cruz, California until moving to Manchester in 2003 when she joined Sputnik as Creative Director. Her main responsibilities include corporate branding, web design, usability, graphic design and illustration.

VIVA PR Profiles

Viva PR is a fab Public Relations consultancy based in Rawtenstall, Lancashire. Set up by PR guru, Tony Garner back in 2002, Viva now has a huge array of clients including us lot at Bikersadvice.com.

Who would have thought that bikers would need PR!

We rely on Viva to help make people like you aware of our existence and to shout about our news and campaigns that we are currently running.

The team working with us from Viva consists of Tony and his PR protégé, self-confessed biker – Suzanne.

So here’s a little bit about them:

Suzanne Hazell is a junior public relations executive for Viva PR and is also studying at the University of Central Lancashire where she is doing a degree in public relations.
She is a pillion on her partners Honda CBR 600F. Although she isn’t a rider she is never off the back of the bike and loves going for long rides through Lancashire, stopping for her usual egg, cheese and tomato ketchup sarnies and a cup of hot chocolate!

Tony Garner is Lancashire’s very own PR guru with a wealth of experience in the field. Before setting up Viva PR five years ago, Tony was a sports journalist for the Lancashire Evening Telegraph for just over 15years. Tony’s favourite bike is a Triumph Bonneville. “My dad had a big purple beast when I was a nipper, but that’s enough of my problems…”
