Offences - General

	Most road traffic offences are "absolute" (or "strict liability") – ie whether you intended to commit them or knew you had committed them is totally irrelevant. The one question is whether they were committed.
	Most offences are dealt with by summonses (not by arrest, caution and charging). Notable exceptions include drinking and driving/ death by dangerous driving etc.
