In addition to his motorcycling feats he has skied and walked there, sight- seen (places like Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna to name but a few), tasted its music and opera – not to mention its apple strudeln and foaming beer. Mainly mountainous in the west it becomes generally flatter towards the east (Burgenland etc). Can be a bit touristy in places with accompanying touristy prices. But the “Gemütlikeit” oils things along. Expect spotless cleanliness and generally high standards of accommodation. Glorious biking roads – but can be a bit hairy.
